Office refurbishment, Newnham Court

Chartway Construction has recently handed over the refurbishment of commercial offices for Southern Housing Group at Newnham Court, Maidstone.

The project comprised of the remodelling and refurbishment of existing and occupied offices within converted oast buildings, within an commercial and retail site, adjacent to the general public and other business users.

On the ground floor, works comprised complete refurbishment of the current reception area to enable con-version into office space. Removal of the existing staircase, remodelling of the existing office space including creating a staffroom and disabled toilet including closing up and creating new openings, demolition of the existing toilet facilities and structural alterations.

To the first floor, works include demolition of the existing toilets, closing up and creating new openings, and full remodelling of the existing office space.

The refurb works included extensive M&E, new partitions, ceilings, flooring, new windows and re-glazing of existing windows, new doors and frames, staircases, glazed partitions, WC facilities and fully decorated throughout.

The project involved the decant of/and working around of existing commercial tenants.
