Heart of Kent Hospice| Chartway Construction

Chartway Construction was contracted to provide new offices and training facility for the Heart of Kent Hospice adjacent to the current Hospice Facility.

Heart of Kent Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist end of life care for people facing the challenge of a terminal illness, and support for their families. Located within the grounds of the grade II listed Preston Hall, Maidstone, the hospice cares for over 1,300 patients and their families each year in their own homes, in the community or in the hospice, improving their quality of life and helping to make every day precious.

Work included the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new two storey timber framed administration building for the hospice, to include a new main entrance, public reception and waiting areas, offices and associated welfare facilities, drainage and external landscaping.

Supporting the charity: As well as building their new head office, we have also supported the charity heavily over the years, as a group, we have donated a minibus, members of our team have particapted in events such as wing walking and fun runs, and for 2021, our sister company, Westerhhill Homes, is Presenting Partner for the Elmer trail in Maidstone.
