Hartnup Street, Maidstone

Part of a larger three phase regeneration garage site project for Golding Homes, our site at Hartnup Street on the edge of Maidstone town centre comprised of the demolition of 31 garages and the construction of a pair of two-bedroom semi-detached houses, four parking bays and an additional seven new garages.

Built of traditional brick and block construction, the 2 bedroom houses are being offered by Golding Homes for shared ownership. They are aesthetically pleasing with feature brickwork including a coloured red brick band to compliment the surrounding neighbourhood. We have complied with the latest building regulations with full fill cavity walls to minimise internal heat loss and have also included low energy rated integrated kitchen appliances and low energy lighting throughout.

In addition to this, to promote sustainable transport, each new dwelling has secure cycle storage and a car charging point. Refuse space has been provided to comply with Maidstone Borough Council’s recycling strategy within the garage for recycling and garden for landfill waste. Sustainable methods and materials have been used in construction giving the new buildings a very low carbon footprint and reduced energy requirements.
