Heath Farm School, SEN block

Heath Farm lies in a spacious rural setting near Ashford, and attracts pupils from across Kent with a wide range of needs, including social and emotional issues, learning difficulties, mental health problems and associated conditions.

Phase 1: This £1.2m design and build development, completed in April 2010, was carried out for a special needs school based in Ashford, Kent. The project consisted of three new timber framed classroom blocks with extensive external works in the middle of the school campus.

Phase 2: In 2015, we returned to the school and negotiated the design & build of the second phase of building works to construct two further classrooms which also included changing and toilet facilities and a break out space with further extensive external works. Phase 2 was successfully completed 2016.

Working in close partnership with Sub Rosa Architects on both projects, we were delighted that the school received a RIBA award for the scheme.
